Multinational chemical company is looking for an European Fleet and Facilities Manager (EFM) performs administrative and management duties in the planning, organizing, direction and evaluation of fleet services in day-to-day operations of the European fleet. In partnership with Indirect Procurement and the Country RESS Managers is responsible for supporting the local negotiation and implementation of fleet related contracts for goods and services with suppliers. On a European level the position helps support and formulates the fleet policy, interprets and administers such policy, including vehicle replacement parameters, safety program services, vehicle acquisition and disposal services, maintenance and accident management. Ideally the candidate will possess excellent finance, budgeting and business skills, and demonstrate results in operating and capital cost management.


What You Will Do:

  • Manage and drive the European Fleet Operations according to the European Strategy.
  • Formulate, interpret and administer fleet policy assuring optimal operating cost and efficiency.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information regarding vehicle and driver records.
  • Effectively use the fleet and supplier software to evaluate operations.
  • Control operating expenses and support ARI pilot and implementation.
  • Create and maintain an annual plan to ensure effective allocation and optimization of internal and external resources.
  • Be able to analyze the business situation and the impacts on European fleet and division expenses.
  • Driver of communication of fleet operation objectives.
  • Develop and drive results through service level commitments with suppliers for customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in industry organizations to infuse best practices and solutions into the European fleet operations
  • Capability to develop car fleet policy & framework at a European level.
  • Effectively support local teams in order to maximize performance.
  • Supervise all Real Estate Support Services (R.E.S.S.) activities in Market South (Italy, Iberia, Greece).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree in business, supply chain, or finance.
  • 5 or more years of experience in managing a national fleet greater than 4,000 vehicles
  • Experience in supervision and management of direct reports
  • Clearly, openly and timely communicate with associates at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation, ability to collaborate and communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, develop and manage multi-level budgets.
  • Accounting and/or financial management expertise is a plus.
  • Professional Certification – Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) designation a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills – including Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Availability to travel within the countries of responsibility.
  • Fluent English level.
